Asset | Tilburg is looking for a new chairman for the academic year 2024-2025. Are you looking for an exciting and challenging board year? Then this position might be for you. As chairman you coordinate the association as a whole and you lead a team of 9 dedicated general board members. In addition, you are responsible for our 4500 members, 800 active members and 40 board members.
Function Description
- You coordinate the general board and lead weekly meetings.
- You help to form and execute the policy of Asset | General.
- You represent the association during meetings with the faculty and university board as well as several other stakeholders.
- You are the general point of contact for the association in all matters.
- You are the treasurer of TiGeAk. The umbrella organization of all associations on campus.
What do we offer?
A full-time board year to boost your CV and receive work experience in a managing position. You will receive professional leadership training such as a media training, conflict resolution and leading meetings. In addition, you can also expect board grants to give some monetary compensation for possible study delay. These vary year to year, and we are not able to promise a set amount. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to greatly expand your network within the university and with companies. Next to the formal side a board year as IC is also an amazing experience. You are welcome at all Asset events and those organized by departments. It is the ideal way to meet a lot of people as you will work together and enjoy parties with over 50 board members within Asset. You’ll also get acquainted with a lot of other associations and their boards since you will attend events to represent Asset. You’ll be at the center of the most active group of students in Tilburg where you can make some lifelong friends during your board year.
What are we looking for?
- You must be a member of Asset, you can still sign-up before applying. Read more about becoming a member here.
- Some experience within associations like Asset or similar student operated organizations.
- Speaking Dutch is not required but appreciated.
- You have an open attitude and can easily get along with people.
- You are not afraid to take charge and assess situations even when things get difficult.
- You can process large amounts of information, are thorough and do not get easily overwhelmed.
