ORTEC is an international company and consists of experts in the field of complex optimization issues in various logistics and financial sectors. We make tools for the railway timetable, calculate the profitability of airlines, research patient flows in medical centers, advise on investment strategies and develop software for optimum routing in distribution organizations. Hundreds of companies worldwide, including Shell, ING, Coca-Cola Enterprises, TNT, Philips, Ahold and KLM, make use of our products and services. Since our establishment 27 years ago, we have grown to more than 700 employees, distributed between offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Romania, Switzerland, UK and USA. Many students work at ORTEC. Some write a thesis while they are with us; others work a few days a week as student assistant. Students often have new insights and a fresh outlook of the profession.
