“Can you govern the country without knowing the figures?”

The best of many worlds: working at Statistics Netherlands is a pleasing mix of working for the government, a climate that encourages free thinking, but also the dynamics of developments in Dutch society, of which we keep close track! People want to base their opinions on facts, undisputed figures that are used by everyone. And at our offices in Heerlen and The Hague, we make those figures.

Our workforce of around 2.350 is extremely mixed: many nationalities and very diverse education and career backgrounds. Our staff also want government of the Netherlands to be based on sound arguments, arguments for which Statistics Netherlands supplies the information.
