On the 17th of November 2011 presented Food for Thought Herman Wijffels. Herman Wijffels is a Dutch economist and politicain. He studied economics at Tilburg University and started his career at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. In 1981 he started as a board member of the Rabobank, where he became Chairman in 1986. In 1999 Wijffels left the Rabobank, to become chairman of the Social-Economic Council (SER). The Rabobank named an innovation award after Wijffels: ' The Herman Wijffels Innovation award'. Wijffels was chairman of the most important advisory council of The Netherlands until 2006, when he became a member of the Worldbank. In 2008 he left as a member of the Worldbank and started as Chairman of the sustainable Think Thank Worldconnectors. He was 'informateur' during the forming of the kabinet Balkenende IV.
