Many students encounter difficulties with their first year courses. For these students extra support is offered. Mentorship system MAK and the Education Office joined forces to present tutorships and exam trainings for the mathematics and statistics courses. With the help of Asset | Accounting & Finance and Asset | Economics tutorships for the accounting and economics courses are offered as well.
Tutorships Tutoring classes start in the second week of each study unit and last six or thirteen weeks corresponding to the length of the course. Each tutoring class lasts 90 minutes and the language spoken corresponds to the official language spoken in the course. Total costs of the tutorships are respectively 25 Euros for six weeks and 45 Euros for tutorships that last thirteen weeks. Tutorships schedule

For registration and additional information, COMAP will be used. To registrate you have to follow the following steps:
Important: In case classes are full you can subscribe for the 'reserve' classes. We do our best to add extra classes, which will start as soon as possible.
Note
Registering for the tutoring system during the first week of a study unit may feel premature, though you probably already know whether you will have trouble with one of these courses based on your experience in high school or after the first introduction to the course material. Do not underestimate these courses and do not forget the Binding Study Advice; you cannot afford to miss too many study credits.
Exam Trainings
Asset and MAK Mentorship System organise exam trainings as well. Participating in these exam trainings gives you the possibility to ask extra questions and it offers a good preparation for your exam. During these exam trainings old exam exercises will be discussed. The cost for attending exam trainings is 4 euros and have to be paid in class.

Private Coaching
For students having problems with a particular course, private coaching is offered by the Education Desk and MAK. In order to sign up for private coaching you have to contact the Education Desk. When private coaching is the right solution for you they will start looking for the right person tot teach you. These lessons are given at a standard charge of € 12.50 per hour.
