MAK and Asset Next to Faculty Association Asset, MAK is an organization who offers you, as a student, a range of useful services and interesting activities. This text will provide you with information about the differences and similarities between MAK and Faculty Association Asset. These two organisations have proven to be very helpful during a student's study career. MAK and Asset both target all students studying at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management. This is organized as follows: MAK is responsible for the first-years' introduction activities. Hereby, MAK has the first contact with new students and supports them by organizing activities and providing them with information. MAK helps these new students acclimatize to Tilburg University and to the student life in several ways, which you can read in the next paragraph. In the mean time, first-year students can already take advantage of Asset's services, for example its beneficial book discounts. From the second semester on, Asset assumes the role of only representative of the students at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management. Of course, MAK continues to be valuable through their provision of tutorships, private coaching and parties. MAK MAK is the Mentorship System of the School of Economics and Management of Tilburg University and forms part of the Educational Office. MAK is both there to provide useful information to prospective, first year's and pre-master students and to get new Tilburg School of Economics and Management - students acclimatized to Tilburg student life, both study-related and socially. Moreover MAK supports (senior) students in their studies. To achieve those objectives MAK offers you all kinds of services, ranging from introduction activities to education related activities, informal activities and study support. Some revealingly examples are the Study Introduction Days, Student for a Day and Information Sessions for first-year students. Also, MAK organizes tutorships in cooperation with Asset.
