As of the summer of 2008, the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM) has its own Faculty Association: Asset. Asset consists of seven associations, which can be found here. Each Asset association organizes activities for specific groups of students with a particular field of study and interests.

The goal of Asset is to provide services and activities for its members to enhance their studies at Tilburg University. These services and activities represent the pillars on which Asset is based:

1. Providing study support

Asset organizes several study supporting activities that are indispensable for students at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management. These include, but are not limited to: a 20% discount on your study books, tutorships, cases and guidelines.

2. Being an intermediary between students and companies

Asset offers students the possibility to get in touch with potential future employers. Every year Asset organizes the Economic Business weeks Tilburg, the Asset Inhouse Days and The Consultancy Experience. Besides organizing these activities, Asset publishes its own semi-scientific magazine: Asset Magazine.

3. Closing the gap between theory and practice

To get insight in the real (economic) world, Asset organizes the International Conference, the Interfaculty Symposium and Food for Thought. Speakers that have made extraordinary contributions to the economic sciences are honored with the Tjalling C. Koopmans Asset Award.

4. Organising social activities

Asset organizes several informal and social activities such as the Asset beercantus, the pre-carnavalsparty, a gala, cycling dinners and the active members weekend. This is a great way to get in touch with people from different fields of study.

Next to these four pillars, Asset will take care of the so-called study-exceeding activities. Study-exceeding activities are organized for all TiSEM students, and are not aimed at a specific field of study. Furthermore, Asset is the spokesperson to the university on behalf of all associations involved.
